YOU THINK YOU KNOW HER

I overheard your chats with your buddies.
Whispering one-sided truths about her character.
You uttered with confidence…
For you were certain of every element that made her.

You think you have seen her naked
Merely because you used to take her clothes off?
Therefore, you concluded you know her…
Tell me about her dreams.
Tell me what breaks her heart?
What is she passionate about?
Tell me what makes her cry?

Just because you saw her stripped body…
You assumed you have seen enough of her skeleton.
To shame her and spread all her dirty laundry…

So tell me!
Do you think you know her?
Well, then go ahead and characterize every trait of hers.
Tell me about her childhood…
How was it?
Tell me one story about her that you’re not in…
A story that discloses her inner mystery.
Tell me about her bad side!
Explain how she is when she has reached her limits…

Disclose all her personalities,
What she does when she is over the moon.
Go ahead. Tell me!

You’ve seen her skin.
You have touched her body,
But…still, you know nothing about her.
It’s like a book you once found,
But you never gave yourself time to open,
Nor skim through each of its pages,
Examining every circumstances…
You ignored to left stones unturned.
You failed to have a deep conversation with her,
But you think you know her.
