WHAT IS LOVE?

I wish I can tell, but you are asking the wrong person,
I have been in love, yet I can’t clarify it…
I know it sounds strange, but this is my truth…

What is love?

Continuously, you are pushing to hear my clue,
Yet, I’m void and don’t know what to utter out…
I’m afraid I want to avoid frightening you,
for I have encountered a painful version of love,
also I don’t have a perfect phrase to explain how severe it is.
Please let me keep my knowledge to myself…

What is love?

Again you go on and on challenging, yet I’m not eager to tell…
Perhaps love is sweet, yet I haven’t tasted its sweetness….
Maybe love is kind, but I find it violent.
Maybe love is pure, but I have endured a stained portion of it….
Or maybe love is happiness, but I have received depressing and dull love that only resembled disgust and pain.

Please let me keep my perception to myself…

What is love?

You keep on digging so deep into my opinions and feelings …
I’m afraid, I want to avoid scaring you…
Love is good, as everyone says…
So please dive in and find out for yourself.
