STREAM DINTLEONTHETRACK – POUND CAKE FREESTYLE + LYRICS

Dintleonthetrack, a singer, producer, and composer, kicks off the year with a freestyle cover of Drake and Jay Z’s Pound Cake, taken from Drake‘s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, from 2013. The visuals for the 1minute 20 seconds freestyle appear to have been shot on the rooftop of a building in New CBD, Gaborone. You can see Dintle singing while standing next to a swimming pool, with the Zambezi Towers in the background.

Listen to the freestyle and sing along with the lyrics below.

LYRICS

[ Intro ]
Freestyle shit
Ha! Yeah

[ Verse ]
If it wasn’t for the music where would I be?
The plan’s to keep on shining till I D.I.E
I want all the nice things already got a wifey
And tomorrow’s not promised so I gotta live
I got a lotta cousins now, it’s getting outta hand
But, mad love cause it’s the fam
This sh*t ain’t never been part of the plan
I just hope the fam love me till the end
‘Cause we ain’t gotta let the money change us
We ain’t gotta let the media play us
N*ggas tryna use my name to climb their way up
That’s why I tell em … f*k favors
Who ever thought the shy kid would make mosh pits
This life chose me n*gga I don’t force it
They try to downplay my wins, like I ain’t shit
These weak n*ggas sleeping on me, dossing
Ion give a fuck ‘bout what they say
It’s money on my mind everyday, ey
Dollar dollar bill y’all
