MY STORMS

A poem by Kesego Olebogeng a.k.a King Mufasa The Timeless Writer

I like the little calm moments before the storm…
The genuine I Love You’s.
The him sweeping me off my feet moments where I feel like all existence has stopped because the only thing that seem to be of much existence at that moment is the glitter in his hazel brown eyes that set
my heart on fire

I like the little calm moments before the storm.
When we forget how much past mistakes weigh on us and my breath is the only thing that oposses caution against passion.
When passion seems more lucrative to making this me you thing work than anything people would put up to debate against the topic.

I like the little calm moments before the storm
When you still meant alot to me and I alot to you but now because the storm hit I’m left stranded standing here alone amidst hurricanes and tornadoes because I was told I was born to love the storms that could break me apart the most.

They said “love is a wonderful feeling you can’t explain in words” well maybe not
This is a jumble up of emotions that keep me up every night thinking about a person who’d never think twice about me but still I love him more than I choose to love myself.
