Ms. Pedzani Tafa Appointed as Managing Director and Executive Director of BBS Bank
On 22nd December 2022, the Board of BBS Bank announced the appointment of Ms. Pedzani Tafa as the new Managing Director and Executive Director of the bank. Ms. Tafa will take up her new position on 4 January 2023.
Ms. Tafa has a wealth of experience in the banking industry, having spent over 30 years in various senior management positions at various banks in Botswana. Prior to her appointment as Managing Director at BBS Bank, she served as Chief Operations Officer for Botswana Savings Bank, and before that, held various positions at Standard Chartered Bank, including Cluster Head, Customer Experience Process & Governance, Country Head-Service Quality, and Head of Retail Banking. Ms. Tafa’s banking career began at Stanbic Bank, where she held the position of Head, Executive Banking.
Ms. Tafa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business & Administration degree from the University of Botswana, as well as an associate Diploma in Banking from the Botswana Institute of Banking and Finance.
BBS Bank is confident that Ms. Tafa’s strong experience in banking will be instrumental in helping to steer the bank to greater success.
