Learn2Lead: A New Mentorship Program for Emerging Corporate Leaders

Learn2Lead is a new not-for-profit mentorship program that aims to connect experienced corporate leaders with professionals who have at least 5 years of working experience.

The program aims to provide a “safe space” for these leaders to grow into their roles and gain valuable guidance from their mentors. The ultimate goal is to invest in the next generation of corporate leaders and help them reach their full potential.

Lesego Bannalotlhe and Luke Woodford will be volunteering as mentors for the program over the next 6 months.

The program is part-time and will run from February 2023 to August 2023. It is completely free and open to individuals based in Botswana who meet the qualifying criteria of being a leader of people, having a minimum of 5 years work experience, clear career goals, and the ability to participate in a monthly book club and attend meetings once a month.

Candidates outside of Gaborone must be willing to travel to Gaborone every two months.

Applications for the program are open from January 12th to January 25th, 2023. Interested individuals can apply by emailing learn2leadbw@gmail.com with their background and reasons for wanting to participate.

While the program can only accommodate a small number of participants, Learn2Lead hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of those who are able to join.

In addition to the in-person mentorship, Learn2Lead will also be sharing various posts on their page to provide online mentoring to all interested individuals.

Lesego Bannalotlhe is the Chairperson of the Botswana Risk Managers Association and has experience as a Chief Risk Officer and Board Member.

Luke Woodford is an experienced CFO with a career in financial services and a focus on finance, risk, credit, and strategy.

Both mentors have a passion for helping individuals unlock their potential and are excited to be part of this new program. If you are interested in growing your leadership skills and being part of the first cohort of Learn2Lead, don’t miss this opportunity to apply
