HOW PINK CAN YOU GO

It’s pink October,
A time to recognize the brave who have dealt with the unthinkable.
It’s a moment to remember the warriors;
The many beautiful souls who have been taken too soon.
Those who died in a war, battling a dreadful disease.
This is a moment to think about all their struggles…
The aftermath that cancer leaves.
The trauma and depression the children and adults, in the battle, go through.
The unbearable pains characterized by ins and outs of sanitarium,
The suffering they suffer day-to-day.
This is the moment to ask ourselves; what can we do to make a difference?
How pink can we go?

I take a lead in sweet color,
Raising a pink ribbon higher.
In honor of the loving memories of beautiful people gone,
Those who died in the battle.
Those who can’t speak for themselves.
May their beautiful souls find eternal peace.

This pink October
I am going fully pink,
I am heading on a beautiful journey with a group of beautiful survivors,
Those who hold the deepest ache.
With scars that are part of their new normal.
The strongest people ever who some days are fragile.
Day by day they move forward despite their distress,
Fighters who get worried about their tomorrows, yet
They are always grateful that they are here doing the best they can.
Fighting against the monster.
Those with imperfect bodies, that tells that they fought hard,
I am talking about the brave who are not ashamed to reveal their war wounds.

Let’s be careful with them.
They have been through enough already,
They had to learn to live even when they felt like they were dying.
Not forgetting those who are in this battle today,
Fighting the most fearful battle ever,
A war I’m certain they will win.
Cancer thinks It’s a scary word,
And it believes it is in control,
But not in our warriors, It’s just mistaken.
May a cure be found,
We pray ever…
