FIVE ON THE DOT.

I’m longing to live my dreams!
I had the best moments of my existence,
Encircled by people who only sees potential in me.
They applauded, as I walk boldly on a red carpet,
Bossing to sit on a throne,
My steps were cheerful and hopeful…
Everyone was screaming my inscription,
With all sorts of praises that characterized the tremendous and successful person I was.
Just like a sun that blinks brighter every morning, my teeth visible from all the smiles that decorated my face.
I was about to be awarded for all my hard works.
Everyone noticed, and they declared, You deserve all the promising things coming your way.”
Who would have imagined?
That I will be honored by respectful souls.
But it’s so unfortunate.
Five on the dot…
Just ruined all the entire day before I even deliver my speech…
I woke up from a great fantasy and find out I was just envying.
First thing, I checked my clock, and it was indeed 5 on the dot…
Only to realize it was just a nightmare,
I was presently faced with the reality
That I am nobody respected by the nation…
But just an ordinary person navigating through life,
trying to make a living by taking some chances.
It hit me too deep!
To realize that my reality is more distinct from all the extraordinary things I was dreaming…
I was sleepless and ready to face the world
prepared to be looked down to,
prepared to be criticized, judged, and used.
For that was the standard of my reality.
Who would have thought?
That dreams can be unforgettable unlike reality
Who would have guessed, that people surrounding you in dreams are more caring and supportive.
Unlike your true friends and kin?
I’m longing to live my dreams,
For it’s better than my reality!
