DECEPTION

Poem by Refilwe J Mokgatlenyane

Broken into pieces of sharp blades
Hidden behind the scary dark shades
Buried in sadness with no lucid meaning
A quintessence of grief, trying to seek healing

Razor blades running across my wrists
Blood oozing from my fists
There’s still no better world to escape to
Still no better feeling to escape to

Trust shattered by deception
From Lies more than I could mention
It was a trap set
A match bet
I got deceived like a rat,
Served buttered cheese on a trap
