ABTHEACTIVIST DROPS “TO THE TOP” WITH ONETAKE

AVO managed to get a moment with the young and talented AbTheActivist. In the interview,he said he best describes himself as a free spirited, passion driven individual. When asked where he gets his inspiration from Ab confidently told the AVO team that he believes that he draws inspiration from everything around him, but mostly from his emotions and all that is life.

When we asked about his new song he said , “To The Top” was one of the first songs I recorded with OneTake. It’s basically about two young rappers venting about their trials and tribulations as they manoeuvre their way through the cut throat music industry. I made the beat, and the drums were inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Sing for Me I’m Dying of Thirst.’ At first, I didn’t know what to do with it, but OneTake heard it and was instantly inspired, he helped form the whole direction of the song”.

AbTheActivist said in future, he would like to see himself work with the likes of Veezo View, and is currently still figuring out what kind of joint would be suitable for both their style of music.

As we concluded the interview ,He said his top 3 most played local songs are Summer 21 by Apexxxx featuring himself, Missing You by Fuzzy featuring Lu Young and Why So Faded by Faded Gang. He further said that his favourite BW artist is currently Lincoln Fuego and continues to mention that he is easily one of his biggest inspirations and that there wouldn’t be AbTheActivist without him. Oh that was heartfelt if we do say so at AVO. We are expecting a tape from the young talent but it seems like we have to wait a bit longer; but with “To The Top” already out there, we should have an idea of what’s to come.
